Oky for girls
Oky is designed for all girls aged 10 to 19, but its content is relevant for anyone who wants to learn about menstruation! All women and girls have their periods.
It’s natural! But girls still get shamed for it, and often lack information about what’s happening to their bodies at a critical time in their lives when so much is changing. All this can make periods stressful, when they don’t need to be!
Oky aims to reverse the shyness, bad feelings and misinformation around periods, and make sure all girls have access to the information and tools they need to make their periods manageable, in a fun and engaging way!
Its content is also accessible and relevant for girls with disabilities, with support in using accessibility features to help them navigate Oky.
Oky for boys
Boys can benefit from Oky too!
Boys can explore the encyclopedia to learn interesting and informative facts about puberty and other topics relevant to adolescent boys.
Oky for parents
Oky equips parents with evidence-based information about changes happening with their adolescent daughters, including caregivers to better support girls with disabilities manage their periods and navigate puberty.
This can make it easier and more comfortable for parents & caregivers to talk to their daughters, sons or the child they care for, and answer questions they may have.
Oky for teachers
Oky is also a useful tool for teachers!
Teachers, health workers or community members can use Oky’s encyclopedia to get access to the latest evidence-based information about menstruation, puberty and reproductive health. They can introduce Oky in their classroom and encourage students to use it as a fun way to complement what is taught in school.
