Oky, developed and owned by UNICEF, aims to be accessible to as many people as possible.
How accessible is Oky?
In 2021, we conducted an accessibility audit to enhance its digital accessibility, adhering to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, including improvements for screen reader users. However, we recognize that some parts of Oky are still to be improved:
Some text and logos do not meet the 3:1 contrast ratio requirement against their backgrounds.
Certain buttons have smaller hitboxes than recommended.
Navigation through the app using screen readers is not always possible.
Some of these issues can be mitigated by enabling color correction on your device or zooming in on certain parts of the screen.
Reporting accessibility problems with Oky
We are committed to continually improving the accessibility of Oky. If you encounter any issues not mentioned here or believe we are not meeting accessibility standards, please contact us at hello@okyapp.info.
